Project Manager at the Central Adriatic Ports Authority (Italy), working within the “Development, Promotion, Statistics, Communication and EU-funded Projects” Sector.

Over 15 years of professional experience in the design, management and implementation of European-funded projects, with particular expertise in maritime transport, logistics, port development, infrastructure innovation and environmental sustainability. Her activities include the design, coordination and financial management of international projects funded under European, national and regional programmes, fostering collaboration among ports, public authorities and institutional stakeholders across the Adriatic–Ionian and Mediterranean regions.

Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in developing project proposals, managing international partnerships, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting strategic planning processes aimed at strengthening port competitiveness and sustainable mobility in the Adriatic and Mediterranean regions.

Within her role, she contributes to strengthening cross-border cooperation between ports through participation in international partnerships and European policy initiatives related to transport corridors, maritime space and sustainable mobility. She is also a member of the ESPO Ferry and Cruise Port Network, contributing to dialogue on European port policy and sector development.

Elena holds a Degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Bologna and works in a multicultural environment, supporting cooperation and knowledge exchange among European port communities.

Her professional interests include sustainable port development, European cooperation, maritime innovation, and the integration of transport and regional development policies.
