Lieutenant Junior Grade Antonela Duran was born on April 9, 1998, in Split. She graduated in 2023 from the Croatian Military Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman” in cooperation with the University of Split, majoring in Military Maritime Studies, specializing in Naval Navigation, and earned the degree of univ. mag. ing. nav. milit. As part of her studies, she also completed the Basic Officer Training.

After completing her studies, she served on the minehunter LM-51 as part of the Fleet of the Croatian Navy. Initially, she held the position of Deputy Commander of the minehunter LM-51, and since November 2025, she has been serving as the Commander of the same ship.

Lieutenant Duran is proficient in English.
