Agata Dajčić
Agata Dajčić, Master of Laws, after eleven years of working in the corporate sector as Head of Legal and General Affairs and as a member of the Supervisory Board of a company that managed a marina and shipyard and cooperated with the German shipyard Meyer Werft, shifted her professional focus toward academic and advisory work in the field of maritime domain law, concessions, and their compliance with EU law.
She is employed at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka. She is currently preparing her doctoral dissertation on the extension of concessions for ports of special purpose, analyzing the legal limits of permissible extensions through the lens of the rules and case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Her scientific work focuses on issues of legal certainty, market competition, and economic balance in concession relationships.
As a representative of the Croatian Employers' Association, she participated in working groups drafting the Maritime Domain and Seaports Act in 2019. Alongside her academic work, she is also active in private practice, advising concession grantors, concessionaires, port authorities, and private investors. She participates in the preparation of concession feasibility studies and economic justification studies and provides opinions and strategic advice in procedures related to concessions, public procurement, and regulatory risks.
