Božena Krce Miočić is a Full Professor of Economics (Tourism) at the University of Zadar and Head of the Tourism Section within the Department of Economics. She earned her PhD in 2011 from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb (dissertation: Valorisation of the Economic Components of Nautical Tourism Development). She began her academic career at the University of Zadar in 2004, following earlier professional experience in foreign trade, procurement, and marketing in the nautical sector.

Her work focuses on sustainable tourism development and special forms of tourism, with particular emphasis on nautical tourism and destination management. She has participated in several scientific and EU-funded projects, authored/co-authored more than 50 scientific publications, and is an active participant in numerous national and international conferences.
