Mario Kružić
Mario Kružić holds a Master’s degree in Economics, and in 2026 he will mark 15 years of work experience in the port authority system.
He was born on September 15, 1985, and is personally and professionally closely connected to his hometown of Crikvenica.
He began working at the County Port Authority in 2011 as an intern; he also served as Head of the Department for General and Financial Affairs, and in 2014 he became Director. His tenure has included managing numerous investments in the ports and port areas under the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Crikvenica County, and the largest financial challenge to date is currently underway — the EU-co-funded Port of Omorika Expansion project worth €10 million.
In order to acquire new competencies and further his professional development, he completed a postgraduate specialist study program in “Public Sector Management” at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rijeka, and he is currently enrolled in the postgraduate doctoral study program “Maritime Affairs” at the Faculty of Maritime Studies of the University of Rijeka.
He is the President of the Association of County Port Authorities, which brings together all county port authorities in the Republic of Croatia. In the 11th term of the Croatian Parliament, he was appointed a member of the Committee on Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure. He was also appointed by a decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia as a member of the Maritime Domain and Seaports Council.
