Juraj Bukša, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka and Director of Nautical Affairs at ACI d.d., the leading marina system in Croatia.

For more than 20 years, he has worked at the intersection of the maritime economy, nautical tourism, and the management of complex operational systems.

At ACI, he leads the development and standardization of business processes, commercial models, and supports investment planning and infrastructure development across the marina network. Previously, he was a member of the Management Board of ACI d.d., where he contributed to strategic management, strengthening corporate governance, and implementing ISO systems.

He also built his career in shipping at Lošinjska plovidba, working in human resources, organization, and commercial affairs, and served as Director of the Short Sea Shipping Promoting Centre Croatia.

He is the author and co-author of more than 40 scientific and professional papers and co-author of the university textbook Ekonomika brodarstva (Shipping Economics).
